Yeah starting off AFHing right off the bat is known as s-tapping, its more of a style trick never really used for tricks and stuff

With enough speed (400 or so, you can get there by doing a couple ABHes), face the direction you want to go and hold S (or tap if you don't have much speed) and use the scroll wheel to jump.

Are you using the autodemo recorder? Recording demos normally in source games stops the recording after a load or death

jrstan is right, but that method isn't beginner friendly. So it's recommended just to go through the portal and do the map normally.

Glitchless is nowhere near as popular as it would need to be to warrant a category of it's own. The problem doesn't come from the amount of unique runs, it's the lack of consistent runs from people.

Most people who want a glitchless category almost will never do full runs ever again. And no, it's not because there isn't a lb for it, it's because glitchless for a game like hl2 is awful.

So unless there is a huge influx of consistent demand for a glitchless category (from people who run it consistently), it probably wont be added

1. Download a program call VTFEdit
2. In the source unpack folder go to portal > materials > models > v_weapons and find the file called v_portalgun.vtf
3. Open said file in VTFEdit and export it to your desktop as a PNG / JPG
4. Use any photo editing program you'd like to edit the skin.
5. When done, open VTFEdit and go File > Import and choose the photo file you edited
6. When open, go File > Save As > v_portalgun.vtf
7. Replace the stock .vtf file with your edited one in ../unpack/portal/material/models/v_weapons
8. Open portal and you should have your new skin

NOTE: This method works with whatever texture you want

late reply, but i find playing 06/07 inbounds without portal funneling makes it easier for me so i'd recommend that.

In your case, you'd need to move further down the staircase to jump into orange and yes you do crouch.

Also are you using portal funneling or not, that can sometimes affect falling into orange the second time.

maybe have sub cats for the 4 different categories (i.e oob, inbounds, legacy, glitchless)

Both versions are included the the package, you just have to launch the right batch file.

Half-Life.bat for steam version and Half-Life(WON).bat for WON

Steam will say you are playing Half Life regardless of which version.

did you set up a .bat file like this video explains?

i'm not sure if executing them seperately blocks some commands from working so this is worth a shot.

Hi I'd like to be a mod on the Half-Life 2 Done Portal leaderboards (http://www.speedrun.com/hl2dp), the game is starting to grow a bit and there is currently no verification required on the game and most (if not all) the mods currently listed as mod on the board are inactive. Ive been running this game a while so I feel I have the knowlege to run the leaderboard.

Then you should change the rules, cus rn it says all commands are allowed as long as it isn't blocked by sv_cheats.
