Apparently, everyone has a life changing moment in their life, that defines how they look at life as a hole. I've never had one of these experiences, but I'm interested to know if any of you guys have.

As the election progresses further, so does the competition in it. However, with this manifesto, I hope you will see the obvious, self evident truth that I am the only REAL candidate. It reads as follows:

1.) I will STILL abolish STIs. I'm STILL that cool.

2.) Moving on to serious business, I will attempt to make the forums a better place by cleaning them of certain individual scourges who plague genuine questions with cries of "shitpost!" and "is it worth a thread?". You can rely on me to do this, as I have experience in the matter. For example, I was one of the key individuals who pressed and ultimately passed the "ban Jarhead act of 2018". 3.) I will also clean up the leaderboards. As many of you are now aware, there is now a law in place banning all runs which do not have sufficient video proof. Well I believe this is an inappropriate, authoritarian and fascist method of verification, that simply will not work for today's workforce. In an attempt to give power to the people, I swear to ban ALL runs with video proof, and make the leaderboard completely trust-based.

4.) Finally, I, with great regret, must retract my promise to make all of your categories a reality. It seems some of you simply cannot be trusted with creativity. Don't believe me? The lyrics are about child abuse, and so the writers gave it lots of child-culture references, an almost childlike melody, and loaded it with wordplay. I think it's a mad tune, the lyrics alone are great, but the actual song it's self works very well too, and is catchy as fuck. It's genius to me.

Now, you may be wondering, "why should this man be my mod?". Well, to answer that question, we must look at the 'Basic Moderation Problem', or BMP, or the Super Mario Odyssey page.

You see, Odyssey is a game of mods. In fact, there are too many mods. Which is precisely the reason why I should be a mod.

Now, with the modonomics out of the way, it's time to talk about my manifesto. What will I do, if I am a leaderboard mod of SMO? To answer that question, I have typed out exactly what I will bring to the table in 3, easy to understand, bullet points:

1.) I will NEVER, and I mean NEVER, verify a fake run. Now you may be wondering, "Paint, how can you tell the real runs from the fake ones?". Well, good sir/madame, I just won't verify ANY runs at all. It's a policy adopted by many other SMO mods, and I intend to keep the tradition alive.

2.) I will stop at NOTHING, to add all of your categories to the memeboards. Coinless, damageless, coinlessdamageless, you name it, it's on there.

3.) I will abolish STDs. I'm that cool.

So, in conclusion, when I am mod, life will be better. I am eagerly anticipating the soon arrival of my moderator status so I can begin changing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING with all of you.

So I'm gonna start doing ILs to improve, and want to set some target times. Can anyone give me some good times to aim for if I want to get a sub 1:20?

Is a webcam ok or is this community full of mini Goose clones? I don't really wanna spend 100 quid on a cap card.

Completely new to this game, so a few questions. I run mkds so want to expand my area of "expertise": 1.) Is there snaking (or an equivalent)? 2.) Do I do 150 or 200 cc for a 32 track run? 3.) What are good character/kart combos? Thanks in advance.
