whenever I change the gamma/contrast sliders ingame they change for like a second and then the brightness goes back to the lowest and its very dark even though the slider is all the way up. any fix or is this just for me

i use nghl with the won dlls from the resources page, i followed the installation instructions right and i cant place any satchels. when i pull them out its just the detonator and i click but nothing happens then they will randomly come back and work plz send help
