United StatesI haven't been updating it since my brain has been conditioned to associate updates with long wait times and I didn't think LiveSplit would need a new update for a while, but after updating it, it worked. Thanks for pointing this out, though now I feel like more of an idiot than I usually do.
I'm new to timing automatically in games and for some reason when LiveSplit is meant to start timing it just crashes. Is there any way to fix this? The error says "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately. Method not found: 'System.TimeSpan LiveSplit.Model.LiveSplitState.get_TimePausedAt()'"
I had the idea of making a rom hack where I just remove the game being allowed to save so that I don't have to erase the save file every time I restart the run.I would even keep the save box at the end of each star just to make sure nothing would give me any advantage over anyone else, I would just stop it from being able to save the data. Would this still be speedrun legal?Times wouldn't even be affected since we start our timers after we erase the save, not when we do.
Sorry if this is a dumb question, it just popped into my head, I probably won't even be able to do it since I suck at programming.
I'm pretty new to speedrunning and I want some tips as to how to get better times. One of the main things is how can I do the BLJ on the stairs before the 50-star door reliably, I can never do in less than like 5 tries.
