I think this is a great idea, I'd sure love to run it. Lots of games have a category where you run through a time attack-style mode with the best character in the game, and I think it would work well with Sonic R. Playing as Super Sonic is so much fun in this game and it always seemed weird to me that there was no category for best IL times, which this could serve as. Also, if this becomes a thing, timing should start on selection of Resort Island (or whatever starting course chosen) and end on crossing the finish line of the last course.
