I found a potential flying glitch and tried to post the video with a description, but it keeps saying "content rejected." I cannot figure out why this is happening, as there is no swearing or anything that could be construed as offensive or hate-speech. I've gone through a couple times... is it possible that the word "damage" or "fighting" or "shooting" are getting it auto rejected? Is there a restriction on videos that I'm somehow breaching. I absolutely want to follow the rules and be respectful. This is the first game I have ever gotten into speed running for and I'm just really excited for Any% given how wide open and unrefined the category is.
Any help from an admin who can explain would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
I'm sure I'm not the first to realize this, but the animation for reloads is longer than the actual reload time. You can save about a second on every reload of your bolter if you swap weapons as soon as the ammo counter reads full. You can either double swap to just get back to the bolter, or you can just swap to secondary and shoot till reload, then cancel that and go back to primary, etc.
What are people's thoughts on skipping cutscenes in full game runs. I believe they add over an hour to the run (please correct me if I am wrong).
Pros:
- It make the run less daunting and boring when you grind it over and over
- More likely to attract new players
- It allows for smaller file sizes when recording rather than streaming
- Slower PCs can actually crash on the opening cinematic, adding another barrier to entry
Cons:
- Splicing becomes easier. (though, with so many loading screens and fade outs, it may not matter one way or the other)
I think it is worth allowing skipping of cutscenes, at least right now when the community is miniscule. As an alternative to a strict rule one way or the other, it could also be that skipping is fine if the play is livestreamed. I'm not sure if that is something we could verify, but I like the idea at least.
As of right now, the rules are silent on this issue, which I suppose means skipping the cutscenes is allowed.
Found this great video on movement tech.
But, does anyone have any thoughts on fastest movement pre-chainblade. I have been trying just sprint - dash - sprint - dash, and it seems the fasts. Was wondering if anyone else has played with this yet.
