I rebuild my controllers once a year but, with speed running I would imagine that some of the best dedicated runners, are replacing reset buttons? Not counting emulators

For example say you have a basketball game and you see people playing it on certain settings 0-100 but, there's no settings in the general rules or settings. Now does that mean it's open game? In other words does it matter if it's losers or winners out, does it matter how long of a length you choose for the periods? I think if the rules are not specified it should be open game tell me your thoughts?

I really would like to see an EMU/Console split

You can fry more and do all kinds of manipulation with emulation that you cannot do with a console.

I really hope to see the site leaders make this happen.

Example Friday the 13th NES easy on an EMU very difficult on a console to do under 3 mins.

Reverse Example Home Family Feud World Record can be done on original console and hardware, most likely never on an Emulator, and to boot cannot even be done on just any original console.

I have also seen issues where games are listed as the same game that are different.

There has been a neck and neck battle going on recently and the Time's are virtually tied.

I think though in theory with the right Vulture line ups and NO mistakes, a run OF under 4:20 is possible.

I was on the final ladder halfway up at EDITED mistimed so had that stupid frog not hit me, the time right now would be virtually out of reach.

Speed Runners should aim for 4:20 it CAN be done.

Are there specific mods for each game? I noticed some of my times are verified and some are not on multiple systems.

I have Atari ones done in a flash and another still pending nearly 3 weeks.

Just curious how that process works and does it have to be a specific mod.

Gaming all my life like many of you, but started doing some serious speed running not sure how long I will be here, have to say your reset buttons can wear out in days, not years in this form of gaming.
