you can just switch back to real time in the same way
right click livesplit > compare against > game time if game time isnt showing throughout the whole length of the run the run will be in real time
RTX runs will probably be listed as a category extension if/when someone gets around to doing a run and submitting a request.
that area is inside of a larger room, so its perfectly inbounds. run is still valid
you cant be a moderator or verifier if youre just some random person l0l
also i'd recommend joining the discord server (the icon below the follow button) to ask questions and interact rather than the speedrun.com forum, it's much quicker to get whatever help you need.
on that website i linked above, theres also a map download for giant_playground, which is a great map to practice movement on. to learn saveglitch id advise just learning specific ones for each chamber that you need. the ultimate portal speedrunning guide linked in the guides section has a ton of video tutorials and helpful stuff if you havent already looked at it, so once you read through the opening sections (there are movement tutorials linked as well), just go map by map and learn the strats youre comfortable with. make sure you have the source unpack version for any sla.
by "modded version" do you mean the source unpack version? if so it can be found at https://sourceunpack.gameabusefastcomplete.com/
The default window size of the 3420 download is in 21:9 to account for low default field of view. This may be too big to display on your monitor. Edit the portal.bat file in the window dimensions section to whatever width and height you desire that fits. The 21:9 aspect ratio is irrelevant now as setting 90 fov is allowed through starting saves. I'd recommend joining the discord for further questions, much easier to get help from there.

unless you cheated it won't get rejected, verifiers will correct whatever is off. the subcategories are unrestricted and legacy; most runs will fall into legacy, unless you do 00 vaultskip, 17 vertical angle glitch, and/or e01 angle glitch saveglitch (you can read more on these on the ultimate speedrunning guide in the guides section if you don't know what these are). the "segments" option is for some reason still a thing even though it's basically obsolete, depends on if you loaded any save. if you did not load any save (including vault save), the run is ss (single segment). if you loaded any save, quick, auto, vault, etc., the run is rta.
mat_dxlevel 80 in console or -dxlevel 80 in launch options. joining the discord is recommended as sr.c forums are kinda bad.
the similarity between that and any% would really just make it a slightly slower any% that's more of a shot in the dark. you don't need to have a leaderboard for a challenge run or whatever
source unpack is build 5135, you likely just did whatever saveglitch incorrectly. 4034 isn't a real build of portal.
