thank you so much!! incredi (who holds all of the current world records) showed me this game last year, and i got really into it. i also made the tas (tool assisted speedrun) hack that's used for the runs in this thread, and the practice hack in the resources tab for practicing levels.

a couple months ago, birdbanana (redballergaming) found a sequence break that lets you skip the water wizard's quests, saving around 50 seconds. here's an updated video made by him and i that gets a time of 3:01.355:

retime to either:

• 2.999 where the back wheel is barely showing

• 3.032 where the entire car is in the mountain

remove the backwards category since it's only possible on track 2 and it's not fun to play

unless a better shortcut is found, i don't think sub 30 is possible
