What Peacock does is host the Hitman server locally on your PC instead of on official IOI servers. Because of this, Peacock is able to offer some useful tools and perks, but nothing that changes whether a speedrun is doable or not. Unlocking all items you own automatically and faster load speeds are probably the two most impactful Peacock perks, but neither affects the actual mechanics of the game. Running through real NPCs can be achieved on any platform with NPC clipping:

I mean, different strokes for different folks. I'm just speaking as someone who has speedrun Hitman extensively on both console and PC and I was immediately a better player on PC. I don't think it's a coincidence every Hitman IL world record is held by someone on PC. At the highest level, PC clearly wins.

The cold hard truth is this game is hard as hell on console and you will have to work hard to compete at the highest level, but I think it's still absolutely worth the experience. Hitman is a fantastic game to speedrun and there's so much to be gained from it. Wishing you the best.

Any crosshair that functions as an overlay is fine, but as Apricope mentioned, you cannot modify the in game crosshair

I wouldn't hold your breath for a glitchless% category to be honest

I mean, the only glitch I can of think of that could classify as a major glitch would be like subdue glitch or cover aim glitch, but even then I don't really believe in a NMG category. Particle boosting is intended gameplay!

Why is hotel skip allowed in Any% if this is a rule? (Level must be fully loaded and visible before moving and you're not allowed to move your camera before moving.) Feels like this rule should just be canned

All runs have been migrated over to official leaderboards and rules changed. As for the paths, each target (except the Controller) has multiple spawn locations and routes they can take. Which spawn/route you get is just up to rng.
