Yeah, I also got the title screen warp, so it seems to me that these different warp locations have fairly close addresses in the memory that we force the game to read through the ACE, since I came across these by attempting the Peach Wrong Warp.

I was trying to learn the easy Wrong Warp method by Poo and when I triggered the ACE, it sent me to the world 7 Castle cutscene where the wand gets back to the king of world 7 and I get the letter from Bowser, and then the game softlocks. I don’t know if this is something that has been found and or documented before, but this is kind of interesting to me.
Yeah, I can add one sometime today, that would quite an interesting run. I’ve 100% both tournament and vs, but I didnt know how to get all of the capsules, which would be really be the only items you can’t get unless you get lucky in the slot game
I want to find out what my time (regular any% time) would theoretically be if I finished a fast any%. So practically figuring out load times and event cutscenes and isle Delfino movement. Is there any way to figure that out or if anybody has already calculated that?
it all depends on what cables you use, a GVUSB2 for composite or S-Video, or an Avermedia for HD component. for the GVUSB2, you could get splitters, but i think you would be fine with plugging it into the capture card, then use AmaRecTV into OBS (for streaming) and play off the computer/laptop. i dont own either of these capture cards though, so i cant really give you much more info. but in the meantime, enjoy speedrunning the game dude :)
i recommend the GVUSB2, its fairly cheap at about $35 and if youre using component for ps2, i think the avermedia LGP has component input.
Yeah, i have been speedrunning for almost 2 years (15 days left) and I never thought of running the first game ive ever played. so i have been interested and im gonna try and find some things in this game to help me with making the runs shorter. Example: skipping some characters in the vs mode to make an any% category of the vs mode and so on. Ive made the categories, now i want to make splits and run them!!!
Hey, I am interested in running this game, this is one of the first games I ever played. I think I could help you out with categories. Like Tournament 100% (1st place in all tournaments), Match Play 100% (100% normal and S VS matches), All Clubs and Balls (All Equipment) or maybe a Shop%, buying/unlocking everything in the shop. I hope you guys get back to me on what you think!
i know what your talking about. what you do is that you use a rocket nozzle normally, but you jump before the rocket blasts off. if you get shot in the air, you did it wrong, but if you dont get any air, you press L and switch nozzles. now what you do is you sidestep (L + Analog Stick + Spray Nozzle) off a ledge of some sort and you should get air as soon as you leave the platform. this is useful in Corona where you can do this and skip some clouds and make it to bowser faster
