great news, Wii Series Olympics (a competitive event we’re hosting at the moment across the Wii Series games) is on Nintendo Switch Sports this week, we’re currently voting between two category choices and All Categories is currently winning! the winning category will be added to the leaderboard for a week, however the mods might decide to keep the category once we’re finished with NSS for the week.
@Centraa You can join by submitting to the relevant WSO leaderboard each week. Currently we're on Wii Sports Resort so there's a leaderboard there called [WSO] A Few Stamps which is taking submissions until Monday at 12pm EST. The community Discord server is the best place to catch updates on the event.
your own runs were verified within 2 days, SRC recommends that it can sometimes take 1-3 weeks for runs to be verified. Nintendo Switch Sports also doesn’t have a huge volume of runs all the time so doesn’t have (or necessarily need) a large mod team. with the Basketball update this may change while there are more runs being submitted, but that’s at the discretion of the mods
since this was posted a new High Score leaderboard has been made available on the Wii Play category extensions in the Individual Levels section. you can check it out here: https://www.speedrun.com/wpce
Hi, I wanted to suggest a category that could be added to the leaderboards called Race to Overtime II (or Race to Overtime 2), the goal is to complete the main game then complete another lap of the game in Overtime. Timing ends on the final cannon in the 2nd Analog Apotheosis similar to Race to Overtime.
I’ve been running it for a while and several other score runs on youtube would technically be valid. It would also mean we have a new longer category other than Score%.
Not sure if you can see the comment on a rejected run but I’m doing another run at some point anyway so it’s not that big of a deal. Thanks for going through to find both early exits though, you could’ve just stopped at wii music lol
What can I say it’s NG+ not worth watching 👍 you didn’t have to go out of your way for this though, thanks :)
Hi @mathgrant, when the leaderboards were made the mods + community decided to use in-game time where the game offers it (Toy Boxing, Slot Cars, solitaire games etc). It doesn’t give a massive advantage in Klondike as you can only see the top 7 cards, so it made sense to leave it as in-game time here.
The only exception is Mahjong Solitaire where it would give a big advantage, so for those ILs RTA is used. I’m obviously no mod but I hope that helps!
