As you noticed me and other Full Mods and Content Mods aren't in staff anymore. Elo decided as of today to put all in one role (who are paid site moderator positions) and remove the volounteer program. (You can see this in the announcements channel on the sr.c Discord server)

So that said it's time for me to say goodbye to sr.c staff. I was happy to assist the speedrunning community as much as I can by putting all my free time to the site. That was a such a great experience I'll never forget. I'd thank first Pac for trusting me when I joined staff 2 years ago, I'd never expected that at all and a thanks to Elo who were here for us as well when ownership changed. It's hard to believe it's ending like that but I accept the decision, it makes more sense to have all in one role.

It's time now to turn a page and write an other one. That was a pleasure to meet all of you guys FeelsOkayMan

To avoid this leaderboard being flagged for deletion after 2 weeks on our end, I added a category saying the game is releasing on Feb. 12.

Just as a FYI this leaderboard has been set with the ROM Hack game type. I don't know why this hasn't been done when this board has been created but there it is.

Hey guys,

Starting today, we'll switch the Individual Level leaderboard from RTA to IGT since the time we're talking about. There is quite a few notes about that:

• During this process, we'll not review any IL submission, it will take a while since there are hundreds of runs to modify but we've already splitted out the work between the mods.
• Individual Levels without a video evidence or with a video we can't see the In-game time will be rejected.
• Starting from today too, Individual Level submissions will require video proof to be on the leaderboards.
• For Individual Worlds we've decided to not change our current rules at this time.
• Once we've moved all runs, we'll rewrite a bit the IL rules to make them more clear

I prefer to say that before anyone post a thread about it but we're not looking to track Ninji Speedruns here since they change every 7 days (so no permanent) and there's already a "leaderboard" integrated to it.

Since the DS version is different than the PS2/Wii version, the DS version of this game have now his own board: https://www.speedrun.com/coraline_ds/

To avoid confusion, I added "(PS2/Wii)" after the game name and I changed the URL. I've done it for the DS board as well.

The DS category can now be removed from that leaderboard.

I updated the cover of this game becuase it looked pretty bad with the black background. Be careful next time when you want to upload game covers to make sure they look okay.

I only modified the following:

• Game cover, it looked pretty bad so I uploaded a better one, feel free to change it if needs to be.

• Updated release date, the release date was set on Sep. 30 and not Oct. 31.

Please read it before making a thread about this. Any thread about emulator will be deleted from now.

Why we don't allow the emulators on the leaderboards

It's simple:

• The community decided to ban emulators a long while ago.

• Emulators are unnoficial releases (even if you have the game disc, emu is playing an unofficial copy of the game) and once again the community is still against allowing submissions from unofficial releases.

• Loads are much faster and way too inaccurate than the Wii. • Even though console loads are different, it's only a few seconds of difference on them whereas on emu it's way more because not everyone has a good PC, so you can get a huge timesave/loss just from that. This would make the board extremely unfair and once again cause unnecessary drama in the forums.

• On emulator it's too easy to cheat. You can: •modify emulation settings •use modified version of the game • record inputs (which would be classified as a Tool-Assisted Speedrun, aka a TAS). If people are wondering, "Why not just make detailed rules about it???": • Because it will change nothing. Emu have still pretty huge advantages even if we have a ruleset about them.

So please can you stop creating threads about emulators on this game? We've had the discussion tons of times and the answer will remain the same. Emu is banned on the leaderboard and that's it. And for the 10000000th time "YOU 👏 DONT 👏 NEED 👏 A 👏 LEADERBOARD 👏 TO 👏 RUN 👏 SOMETHING ". If you want to submit your run on the boards but you don't have a Wii/Wii U and/or a disc, you can buy one, these things are pretty cheap nowadays.

Also, user Toogs has created an unofficial emu leaderboard. If you would like to run on emu you can submit your runs there. (Click here to view the sheet. ) • Even if this becomes popular, emu will not be allowed on the main leaderboard due to the inaccuracy of both console and emu loads.

I tend to see emu runs have faster loads than console so that's means we need to calculate the difference between these.

I think there are something like 10 secs load advantage for emulators which is a pretty huge advantage on a 9 mins run.

Also we've decided to include some extra rules for emu runs like showing a FPS counter to avoid peoples accelerating the game framerate. Don't forget you must touch on nothing in emulation settings for runs !

First of all to preface that, I just want to say my mod position will be temporary since the actual mods are inactive. I've not played a lot to the 3DS version so it will take a bit to verify correctly runs. Thanks to @Dangerless for accepting me.

After checking the leaderboards I just see some WRs or top 3 runs are verified but there are no video proof linked and rules state WR or Tied World Record (for ILs) or top 3 runs (for full game runs) needs video.

So I'll take down all these runs to make the leaderboard more clean and fair.

If there are still WRs runs with no video on the boards and I didn't see, tell me and I'll reject them but it should be fine now

I'll unmod myself and add @apple1417 instead since he's moderating the series.

I've no more motivation to run/moderate this game and I'm actually moderating other "popular" games so I prefer leave my place, it's the better choice.

Today I decided to leave the moderation of this game. Because this game is "dead" and I have anymore more motivation to run and moderate this game.

I hope the two last mods will be more active soon if at any time a run is submitted.

Rules in all categories has been changed recently. We recommend to you to read these rules before submitting a run.

• @Ianwubby have very good times in all categories in the game
• @Halesgaar is the main developper of the game

I plannified to run this game but emulator on my PC is verry laggy and I have not a cap card for NDS.

But i know a homebrew on WiiU that can play any NDS ROMs and I can record WiiU.

It's considered a NDS Emulator or not ?
