The mod team has unanimously decided to do away with the framerate cap rule. Runs from this point on may now use the "Unrestricted" framerate setting. Please note that external frame limiting is still NOT ALLOWED.
I've added the Quick Game category. For now, I've added all the landscape themes, including the ones from DLC/other games, and put them all in the same leaderboard (not as sub-categories, just filterable variables) and made it so that runs on different landscapes don't obsolete each other. While right now I don't foresee this category being run very much, in theory this will allow to easily pinpoint if there are any landscapes that have obvious advantages over the others, at which point a better separation can be discussed.
Every information I find about Worms 2: Armageddon says it is the same game as Reloaded, with the latter being just a port of the former. I have no idea why the names are different or if there are any actual differences, but if it's the same game entirely it can be included in this board, as all the other worms games with ports do the same. Though it is also valid to make a new game listing entirely since it is probably confusing for "Worms 2: Armageddon" players to have to look at the "Worms: Reloaded" game board.
Join the discord (you can find the link just under the follow button in this page). You'll find a link to a legitimate version of the game already prepared for speedrunning in the announcements channel.
This concept already exists. It's called 13.37%, or "do everything you can do before the last mission". There are some old runs of this, but there is no leaderboard for it.
This is using a strategy that is not legal for Individual Levels. In addition, it technically doesn't show the full completion of the mission from start to end, as the instance of the mission that passed is the first, not the second.
Making people quit speedruns so they join university sounds pretty based not gonna lie
I don't think it's usual to separate DLCs (which are essentially level packs in this case) into different games. To me it makes more sense for the same leaderboard to have all the level packs (because it's all part of the same game), instead of having a separate leaderboard page for each level pack.
Timer ends on the first frame any part of the scoreboard appears, in this case it would be the first frame. I changed the wording to "Timer starts when you press Continue on the Select Team screen and ends on the first frame the mission results screen is visible at the end of level x", hopefully that is a bit more clear.
I'm not sure how this went from "I want Any% except things I don't like" to "please verify my runs you slow bastards" but it sure as hell makes me not take take this thread seriously. Instead of arguing about dumb shit, run the game and put your runs in the category extensions, that's what they were made for.
I'm locking this thread because it's just shit flinging at this point. Your points (good or bad) have been made and may be considered in the future.
We are very happy that such a distinguished and experienced individual is expressing their interest in the leaerboards for this soon-to-be remarkable speedgame. However we are currently not looking for assistance. There is a 2 week long embargo on the leaderboards for all 3 Definitive games, the games our Lord and Saviors Rockstar Games with assistance from benevolent angels Grove Street Games have given us. Rest assured leaderboards will be up and running on the 25th of November.
I've added the Puzzle Pack, Time Attack Pack, Forts Pack and Retro Pack as full game categories, same rules as Campaign Mode. I've also added every level from these packs as individual levels.
The moderation teams for all 3 games will discuss it when the games are out and we've had some time to see and play the games.
In the moderation hub, all the times are "none" for me. They appear fine in every page other than some of the new features (like Recent Runs).
Also, make it so you can click the category name to instantly go to the leaderboard. I could do this in the old layout, and still can, by clicking the View button to go to the individual submission, but that should not be required.
Also, the Recent Runs table is completely useless for ILs. What it should show is IL name and category, not just category. If having both is not possible, then just the IL would be preferable. Having to hover over the category to see which IL was actually done is a waste of time and effort.
The game stats are shown in an unintuitive manner. When I see "number slash number" I think of one of two things: either it's a division, or it's "x out of y". But the current Game Stats have it as "Total / Active", which is the complete opposite of what I would expect it to be. It should be "10 active players out of 273 total", not "273 total players, of which 10 are active" And then Guides and Resources use the same slash sign, making it look like there's 15 guides out of 17 resources. This is just inconsistent with the way the other items are presented in the table. Why can't resources just be put in a line below?
EDIT: It appears the "None" bug was caused by switching the default timing method to "Time with loads". This has always been the default method for that particular leaderboard, but for some reason the default option after this update became "without loads", which broke everything for some reason. (This is completely backwards, a lot of games don't have proper loadless until the community develops tools for it, so it shouldn't have been the default option)
As a game moderator I have 0 interest in anything to do with comments. I would like the ability to turn them off entirely for every game I moderate. I have yet to see a single person in the biggest community I frequent who wants this feature enabled in the leaderboards, especially game moderators.
Very good run but have you considered going 21 seconds faster
