I've been looking to speedrun this game for a long time, and have just now seen that it has been added to this site. While there are no guides or anything, the rules have been established, although it doesn't mention difficulty. I've been practicing on standard 3 but are there any rules about it? it seems faster on difficulty 1.
Hope this wil help someone. I'll be doing a full run with it soon
I've been sneakily running this game by myself, and today I came on to see a new update. It's quite nice, but have given me some troubles in the glitchless category. Level 6 is especially rewired now, so I hope you can help out in fixing it :D
I'm currently picking up this game and trying to lower my pb from a high 8 mins, but I'm a little afraid that I might be cheating. I've set 2 of the extra buttons on my mouse to spam the jump input and the roll input. The only places I use the jump input spam, is for level 5 in the last section. As for the roll spam, I can't use it for RJ because it overwrites mostly all other inputs. I'm just still wondering if it's classified as a tool assist?
I've been playing Cube 2: sauerbraten for a couple of years now. Mostly on and off on the online racing servers. I recently tried picking up the campaign for speedrunning. The problem is that I don't have the time to map out all the levels and timers, neither find the most efficient routes. I have gathered som hp-counts, weapon dmg and general knowledge. If anyone is interested in trying to pick it up, I would love to help!
404 sight is nice and fast-paced. Gets down to around 9-10 minutes with some practice, and is easy to break down into segments for practice
