That's a bit too difficult/unimportant to become a category IMO. I'm pretty sure all dungeons without using a lot of Zonai tech is impossible. Any% might be possible without using any, but not using Zonai tech would most likely only lose a few minutes, and wouldn't really make any% more interesting or anything. That's just my opinion. If you want to time yourself doing this challenge, go for it.
That's actually not a glitch, but is rather built into the game.
You don't need a timer on the video to run the game. As long as you time the run at some point, and have an accurate time, everything should be fine.
For example: You go to a stable. You register a horse. You are able to see the horses you had from the first game, and use them in TOTK. Basically my question is "are you allowed to use your horses from Botw?"
With the remote bomb, and therefore wind bombing as a whole being removed, that means there is no real way to make it up to the castle early (that I know of. I just got the dungeon quest)
Whistle sprinting is also patched, though that has probably been obvious from the start.
I think there are plans for that, but obviously you won't be able to see that until the leaderboard open. The ILs in question are likely to be dungeon ILs (not to spoil anything if you haven't finished or played the game)
About a year ago, a hidden two player debug mode was discovered for Super punch out that can be accessed via holding down Y and R on a second controller as the title screen plays, then pressing A or + to continue to a hidden menu. Not only does this allow you to access every fight before making any progress, but a two player mode can be accessed by holding down Y and B on a second controller upon selecting a fight, all the way until the fight starts. In short, it would be nice if there was a category based on it, since it can be done on the SNES or on the Nintendo Switch Online Special. The category could involve the IGT winning of little Mac on each fight, or for the second player on each fight. Just an idea, since this game only has 2 categories. I would be willing to run this category, of course.
Same. I ordered the game on cartridge (because my switch doesn't have any space left) and I'm still waiting for it, so I won't be able to play it until then. I may run the shorter categories of this game (if there will be any) But when the game arrives, I plan to play it casually, first. If glitches are patched in the future, I will also have the earliest version of the game to date, and there may be unknown advantages to playing on 1.0, assuming certain glitches aren't banned to keep the playing level competitive (like with Super Mario Odyssey's first moon skip) like you, I have never ran a Zelda game, so I am definitely excited for this.
Congrats on the first 30:0X time! You might be able to achieve sub 30 eventually if it's possible.
I've been practicing beating the game blindfolded on contender mode, and I've completed contender mode twice. To do a blindfolded run, you basically have to memorize attack patterns, sound cues, and when to punch where. It's not very hard. However, there's grey area to how the rules of the run would work. (For example, you could debate whether taking the blindfold off in between fights is okay or not)
There would also be grey area on how it would be determined that the runner is blindfolded. Some blindfolds are see-through, and there would be no proof of a cheated run if the runner was able to see through the blindfold.
That thread was from 5 years ago. Here's an idea of how 100% could work:
First of all, the run would be an RTA category, since the amount of time that would accumulate during the course of the run would be too much to count.
Beginning Time:
A: Time starts upon pressing A to watch the contender glass joe cutscene in career mode. B: If you choose to go to practice mode first, time begins upon pressing A to get that cutscene.
Rules:
- You must complete the 26 contender and title defense fights on career mode.
- You must make it through at least 10 fights on mac's last stand to unlock Champion's mode.
- You must select a fight on practice mode at some point, to get the practice mode cutscene in the movie gallery. The cutscene only counts if you complete the fight.
- You must complete all 27 fights on exhibition mode while in Champion's mode.
- You must complete all 81 challenges in expedition mode.
Ending time:
A: You can stop the timer once the final challenge is complete. B: You can stop the timer once the final Champions Mode fight is completed.
(After pressing "OK" once the fight ends)
At this point, everything will be completed. The only thing you don't have to do is get the headgear, since that requires losing 100 times in career mode.
It's easier just to skip the cutscenes. You can do so by pressing A, B, +, and - at the same time. The game will automatically reset.
