I'm from New Zealand and would like to switch from Sega megadrive 2 to Sega genesis model 2 console. would it work if I used the megadrive power supply to run the genesis console ?

Does anyone know a good method to trigger the signpost at the end of the level as fast as possible ? I usually mess that part up and get a 26
