this saves about 10 seconds over a well executed ice wall (=not getting hit by a spider) which is pretty unlikely to happen. realistically you save at least 15 seconds over ice wall if you perform that jump first try.
yo just take your time man, no problem. I didn't add that, but I can add it to the description of the youtube vid.
yep :) I didn't get the glitch this time. information for anybody: restarting the level got rid of the glitch for me, while loading the checkpoint didn't. so if you get unlucky and get the glitch you can at least restart the level so you don't have to throw your run away.
If I would have finished it would have been 2 hours 10 minutes or so. my motivation to run again is pretty down after discovering that. maybe I do some investigations on that glitch and try again. we'll see.
so...I did my first run today and crowe (the final boss) just disappeared at the end. There was also no music playing and no enemies spawning. Is this a known glitch? Cause if this is unknown I will not run it again. It basically kills your run cause you can't finish without killing the final boss (obviously) lol.
(there is a fright right at the beginning of the vid when he opens the elevator door, just saying, be aware)
they are separated from each other. you can select "Instincts Story" and "Evolution Story" from the main menu and each has it's own save files. when you finish Instincts, the game puts you back to the main menu. so yeah, you can play through them individually.
I have the physical copy „Far Cry Instincts: Predator“ which contains Instincts and Evolution. Since I'm considering doing a run of it, I was wondering if there are any differences between the Predator versions and the regular versions (with regards to content, story line, loading times, etc.). Is it ok to submit a run of the Predator version or are the leaderboards meant for the regular versions only?
Here is a picture of the copy that I'm talking about: https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/farcry/images/1/14/326px-4_Far_Cry_Instincts_Predator_xbox_360.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20070721235826
Text boxes: Mashing B instead of A during text boxes is much faster.
Elemental Shrine skip after receiving Flex: Just rush into the invisible wall behind the guards to hit the loading zone. Once you are in Snow Temple the game thinks you defended the Shrine successfully.
Youtube comment on my Any% Run:
"Hey, this is great. Kameo is my favourite game. I'll tell you something, when yo fight the big troll at the end of the first level you can instakill him. Just use Chilla to drop the chandelier from above him. I hope this is useful for you c:" from mark18262
I just tried it and it works:
I intend to do a speedrun on Project 64 1.6 and was wondering, which skips and tricks do not work on emulator? Plus: Is there anything special I need to be aware of, when I run this game on emulator?
Ok, I'm done with any% now, I wanna get on this. Is the moderator reading along here? :-)
So Dendris what you are saying is:
- 100 elemental fruits
- 12 life elexirs
- 4 crystal eyes
- all 10 alternative Skins
- beat Thorn
should be required right? I would be fine with that!
I would absolutely agree on ignoring the bonus section and rune pouch upgrade.
Warrior page being relevant or not is THE critical point. I am undecided myself what to think about the Skins, since they are partially "real collectibles". I would negate Max upgrades to all Warriors though, since - as you say - its just time sink and has nothing to do with collecting things.
In terms of putting all the mentioned stuff together in a run, there should be - if ever - a "wotnot %" category above the 100% category.
Just my thoughts :-)
I wanna work on 100%, what should be required?
- 100 elemental fruits
- 12 life elexirs
- 4 crystal eyes
- beat Thorn
Now these four things for sure, but should it also require all alternative Skins for the ten Warriors?
What do you think? I just wanna get startet when the rules are set.
Ok. How to contact a moderator?
