The new updates have changed some things, and I'd like to go through every build to see what's up. For instance, "Sticky fingers are the worst..." had 2 different versions, depending on whether or not it was spring. The smiley face build has no name, some builds have multiple names, and more.
This will involve lots of tie boosting, take almost exactly 2 hours, and while it could be done with 2 players, having more is almost a requirement.
How does around 16:00 GMT sound? That's noon EST, and 18:00 in Finland. For the date, I'm free on the 22nd, 28th, and 29th - whatever works for the most people would be my preference.
Excellent! I won't have to stop running the normal builds to attempt the spring builds. Should I remove the [Spring] tags so alphabetizing them works?
Miruso has 7 WRs =P Arc had less than half the WRs, once upon a time...
We could continue tracking this, I guess. "Mozarts was a bit smaller..." in 9.0 makes a 2nd build with 7 cps, but I don't find this data set particularly interesting.
Well... that was somewhat unexpected. Have fun in the real world for as long as you'd like. I think that we'll still be your friends. If you do quit and end up returning only to find that we've also left, you could ask for some fairly reliable contact info now rather than later. Good luck with whatever you end up making of your life, and try to be happy down the road... or at least content. I hope to see you around eventually.
On a vaguely related note, I'm fairly inactive in Speed Builders at the moment; I tend to spend several months at a time on or off. Currently, I'm looking at returning to school with my summer homework done in a week and my free time is often spent playing Spelunky, coding, or working on an interesting math problem that's had me stumped for a few months. Feel free to PM me on Mineplex if you'd like some more reliable contact info than Speedrun, but I've been active here and don't see that ending anytime soon.
Shh... you'll ruin it. I looked for a "solution" a few months back, but we have 328 levels (more if you count the spring builds). Most of our players submit times that aren't world records, and that's fine. If you're looking for a solution, the best one I've come up with is deleting runs that have been obsoleted by the same player and don't impact WR progressions for a build.
You'd also need the block count for each build to derive it, but aside from that everything so far is true. I don't plan on adding a leaderboard for it because of both the hassle of submitting records there and the low amount of information it gives.
This is somewhat done, with some problems. (There were many other problems, but I solved a lot of them a few days ago.)
- Sound things. Noteblock pitches got figured out and converted; the elder guardian thing doesn't need to be done since the round can't end. But, what's the jingle that plays when ¤you¤ (not just anyone) gets a perfect build? This issue is kinda minor since it's just a sound effect.
- Entities don't need to be placed in for the build to be completed. This doesn't affect most strategies, but the ones it does are builds like frosty and stairs... this can be worked around by using torches and redstone torches to represent them. It's not a perfect fix, but it works.
- Double jumping doesn't exist. Flying is ¤technically¤ double jumping if you're laggy enough. There's not a good workaround; sorry.
- Block data for things like skulls, redstone ore (not for chests, enderchests, hoppers, slabs, stairs, logs, quartz pillars, planks, doors, glass panes) will have to be altered every tick; this can be accomplished by including a repeating command block with the structure.
- Minor block update issues. Gravel will fall, for instance. Water and lava already flow, so no issues there.
I just came to say that all these records have since been beaten and replaced with proper screenshotted records - even Normal Rainbow got done in 2.7.
This is a good idea; it has already been attempted. (I suspect Arcxire could provide more details on that) However, that world doesn't have the builds sorted and they're not rotated properly at all. I also have a command block contraption in the works that could act as a practice machine - as well as some ideas for automatically generating this chest from a correctly oriented build.
Why though? We already have 328 levels that are actually playable; these don't seem to be accessible at all.
I never really liked the spring records, since they were pretty much a separate gamemode. Since they're also not available to run now, I'd say they should be removed. (Also, surprise! I'm not dead!)
Loyall's Cake Display - done on Jan 18, I saw it but didn't screenshot it. My Quack - I didn't think 7.3 was a record; this is recent-ish though. I think a flawless run could be about a second faster though
They should, of course, be eliminated. Here's a list of the records that are first place but have no screenshot or video attached. If you have proof, please upload it! If not, we'll just have to beat your record ;) I should note some of Garchomp's records have proof, but it's in the comments section instead of the video link. Just click on the run as usual; that doesn't change anything.

^ The secret mods meeting was a thing. I decided to add them after it looked like they weren't going away, and kept them since you can still play them on Spring Blossom.
I just came to say unless the builds go away, they'll still be around here. Although personally, I dislike running them. I should note that "Daffodil for the Lady" and "What does the rabbit say?" show up in both modes, so they're not labeled as spring. "Sticky fingers are the worst..." happens to have the same name in both versions, sigh.
Well, that should be interesting. I'll add screenshots and accurate dates to my runs. I should have screenshots for 90%+ of them, but I'll stop adding recs for Arc and Chomp (they can edit theirs)
@Theminerscode When do you plan to purge the runs without screenshots and link this from the MBoWR?
