Colorado, USAIt sounds like you want to run some sort of NG+. If your run doesn't follow the rules of the categories set in place, who cares? Run the video game as you like it, but don't expect the community to bend around what you think should be the standard. Speedrun for yourself.
I disagree. There's no reason to submit a video with extra footage. Some games require you to trim that out. As for livesplit, the rules do say it needs to be visible throughout the run, and remember not to cover the hud (health, geo, soul, etc).
If you want to see a PB without those glitches, watch someone's PB that doesn't use those glitches.

Wally summed up the general thoughts here. The game having new moderators doesn't mean any of us can just add the categories. If it were solely up to me, sure, I'd have an emulator subcategory for the 3 categories. It is not up to me and I am probably the least knowledgeable person when it comes to anything relating to emulators, so I wouldn't know how to start regulating the runs in any fashion.
The website speedrun.com is a collaboration website for holding a website of many speedruns. Its sole purpose is to bring us together via the website to display runs; and/or we all are all friends with each other. So where did we go wrong .. ?
Sufficed to say this could of been avoided. We all know the damage that this game can and is causing to the youth. I am 23 going on 24 this month and I am afraid of losing my mid-twenties to grinding out a 2:04. I will wake up the day after I get the 1 in 200,000 run and wonder where four years of my life went... hint hint the answer isn't Ohio Fold 'Em. It's this game right here.
I been in rendezvous with the head honchoes over at speedrun.com website and we've decided to banish this leaderboard starting very very now. It is time to move on and go outside and breath-a-freshair to stop playlolin.

The allowed emulators are Mednafen, Xebra, and ePSXe 1.9.0/1.9.25/2.0.0.
The way it's handled at http://www.speedrun.com/Celeste works for the game. After the release date of a new patch, running on an old patch is disallowed.
This seems like the kind of thing only this dude has interest in. You do not need a leaderboard to speedrun the game how you want. If this is the ruleset you like and/or are comfortable with, then keep playing it and improve your time. Have fun with it, but don't expect a leaderboard to be crafted around your preferences.
I hate to revive old threads, but I think it's time to follow through on some changes here. Despite having the same name, all of these versions are very different games. It is standard on speedrun.com to separate the games out instead of cluttering one leaderboard with different games. However, the 5th and 6th gen stuff is none of my business whatsoever so I'm not objecting to the board in its current state at all. I organized a race of the GBA version and there are a few times that need submitting now. GBA is a platform on this leaderboard despite there being no available categories for it. I'd like to request a separate game similar to this one for the GBA version. I'm open to moderating it or just giving my thoughts and having the series mods handle it, whatever is best!
Submit all of your PBs if you'd like an accurate PB history on speedrun.com. MURMURMUR had an incorrect assumption.
