i decided to do a speedrun of all paper cups for fun, and i wanted to see how others could do on getting all paper cups. i posted a video of my speedrun, and i put some rules for the run in the description.

Get a P-rank in P-2, except start with Sisyphus and Panopticon, and kill the rest of the enemies afterwards. Because the timer stops after Sisyphus is dead, the category would use RTA instead of IGT.

So, I was really bored one afternoon, and I decided, "you know what, I'm gonna add up the WRs for every level and compare them to the current WR." These are the results I found.

Because my calculator sucks, (TI-30X) I can only store each act and the full game here. regardless, the results I found were very interesting.

Well, act I doesn't really reflect that very well. my results for the WR in every level was a time of 2 minutes, 50 seconds, and 554 milliseconds, prelude included. the current world record for act I is 3 minutes, 6 seconds, and 156 milliseconds. only 15 seconds of improvement.

Act II, however, is much more interesting than act I. my results for the WR in every level was a time of 3 minutes, 23 seconds, and 355 milliseconds. you wanna know what the current WR for act II is? 4 minutes, 58 seconds, and 273 milliseconds. An improvement of over a minute and a half. absolutely absurd.

And now, for the moment you've all been waiting for, the full game speedrun. My time calculated up to 6 minutes, 13 seconds, and 909 milliseconds. A monstrous improvement to the current WR of 9 minutes, 58 seconds, and 856 milliseconds.

So, yeah. We all suck. Even assuming that these records never change no matter what, we still have 3 and a half minutes of improvement. Over a third of the time can be shaved off of the current world record, so get to it runners!

I've been speedrunning this game for quite a while, but I have never seen anyone else speedrun this game. If you have any speedrun strats you know to save time, let me know. I already know about jumping just before a windpipe for greater speed. Just wanted to let you know so you don't give me advice I already have.
