yeah the balloon's starting position is randomly determined when it loads, the seed will seed the randomness so you get the same pattern every time, and different seeds have different patterns so you can experiment to find the right one

from my perspective, tech like spikejumps and spikeclips absolutely count as glitches (for the purpose of a glitchless category at least), atm nobody has really tried to put together guidelines for an rta category and do runs in it. If you were to do some and get some interest, it would probably be pretty cool. Lord snek made a glitchless tas recently though which would probably be a pretty good guide. video is below

as for an intended routes only category, like tangent said its hard to define boundaries for it but if you come up with something a lot of people like then feel free and it would have a chance to be added.

my computer is a potato and it takes like 5 seconds longer to load stuff compared to some of the runs i see on here, should I change my timer to skip loading times or would that be an unfair advantage?

You have absolutely no control over any part of the game during the transition and nothing you can do will affect it.

nobody really knows except the OGs from the discord server and they wont tell, and one of the rules is not to submit so its not like anyone could get a run on there anway
