I don't know, I'll have to ask Ferrante from 2 years ago. Congratulations regardless, and a happy new year
Keep in mind the invincibility glitch is only possible on versions below 3.22 which isn't a category that is frequently ran anymore. Even if there is a lot of timesaving, It seems pointless as there's only a single glitch that can be done, that's restricted to version of the game that certain people can't obtain. That's my opinion on it. The invincibility glitch doesn't provide any "true" timesave as simply playing perfect and not dying is equivalent. I'd still like to see a video though, regardless of my opinion.
You can't just say you did "a run with glitches that saves a ton of time" and not further expand on it. What glitches were used? How much time does it save? Where is the most timesave? Where is the proof of said glitches or said run?
1 - No, Limited is by far the more active category.
2 - Good idea, I'll use that
3 - I don't know of any glitches that would impact the game time-wise, so it seems redundant until glitches of notable time save are discovered.
To add onto this, I realize there is a way to make it so certain variables (version number) can be hidden by category (for example, underground levels only exist after version 3.6 so we can hide the 3.22 & below variable for that particular category), although that will require some run rearranging. It would make the leaderboard a lot more clean, so I'd also like your opinion on this.
Debating on getting rid of the "Survival" category, simply because it isn't a "speedrun" your only goal is surviving as long as possible. I'd like to know your thoughts on this, if there's anything else you'd also like to tell me to change/add or somethin, also do that because I'd like to make this as good as a page as possible
thanks, Ferrante
Why wouldn't it be viable? Level completion is level completion, and it's part of the game.
With my knowledge of the game and the run I just got, uh. I've got bad news for you...
finally, consistent true ending :yuuko_dance:
I think allowing it, whilst counting setup time is a good idea.
Eversion is one of those games where one person will submit a run every 6 months, and sometimes someone like myself or drq will come in who will just clean house cause wynaut. Definitely isn't worth making a community over since it's peak activity is years gone. But still fun to come back to every now and then. I'll come back to Eversion eventually, but I have other things to focus on.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaqaqaaaaa
On a real note, props to drq mans is fuckin insane 🔥
I've been thinking about this for a good while. I can't think of an answer either, it isn't cut and dry. By the current ruleset, it is technically legal, as the run does start at level 1 and end at level 7 and the use of glitches are allowed as seen in the float glitch as well as the statement of "No Restrictions". I do wish Eversion had more eyes so we could have more opinions, but regardless, Ferrante would like his record back, unofficial, or not.
Hi there, Ferrante here.
I went ahead and looked at every version of Killer Bean Unleashed and looked at what changed between them and have come to some conclusions
The 3.52 Category shouldn't exist, as it is the same as 3.60+. Instead this could be changed to version 3.52+
Regular Bullets is redundant and should be removed as a sub category and instead be merged with Limited as I feel as it is unneeded.
On top of this I'll also add the new Underground levels, I will exclude the Dungeon levels as they change daily.
If you have any ideas, such as additions to this list, or criticisms, ask below.
Many thanks, Ferrante
