With the old version of speedstart, yes. However, the new version of speedstart can be done on any device. The old one is super hard, compared to the new one which is about 2-3 frames slower, but super easy and can be done on any device. You can find a tutorial on the new speedstart here

Ok, you're not gonna believe this, but I found a crazy new strat to get consistent at speedstart. And it's called "Practice" It's pretty OP
