Timed sections are always very welcome in speedrunning games. The KO Arenas allow for pretty interesting routes (I have already performed a few) to get the fastest time depending on which two powerups you choose. Will there be any special rules for these KO Arenas?
Just want to make sure the run gets reviewed on time for the replay not to die out. Is all lol
So video proof is allowed (and needed). But is video proof without audio allowed or do you have to have video & audio?
I'm very knowledgeable of the game and its rules, and I'd think one more moderator is going to be great for the community. Any moderation would be good, be it super, regular or verifier :)
So as of July 27th, there is only one category people can play: Campaign. (Campaign Godlike is basically the same) And it lasts very long (about one hour), and many people don't want to make long runs. Seeing that, I made this little leaderboard here, so that people can now run ladder runs, Qualification, single level runs, etc. without having to mass request for these categories.
Comment the link of your run's recording (your run's Youtube, Twitch, etc. link) so we can verify it. Using the command prompt makes your run invalid. Forfeiting ????? the results screen appears or before a level starts is valid.
--Ladders-- Qualification: 1st-No one (It technically isn't a ladder, but it is a set of levels, so...)
Team Deathmatch: 1st-No one
Double Domination: 1st-19:41 by Don_Elgorro in Godlike ()
Bombing Run: 1st- 12:26 by Don_Elgorro in Godlike ()
Capture the Flag: 1st- 24:10 by Eribetra in Novice ()
Individual Levels
--Qualification Individual Levels-- Training Day: 1st-No one Gael: 1st-No one Leviathan: 1st-No one Oceanic: 1st-No one Phobos Moon 2: 1st-No one
--Ladder Individual Levels-- Insidious: 1st-No one Curse3: 1st-No one Antalus: 1st-No one Plunge: 1st-No one Asbestos: 1st-No one Tokara Forest: 1st-No one Scorched Earth: 1st-No one Core: 1st-No one Sepukku Gorge: 1st-No one Sun Temple: 1st-No one Outrigger: 1st-No one Twin Tombs: 1st-No one Disclosure: 1st-No one Bifrost Bases: 1st-No one Temple Of Anubis: 1st-No one Skyline: 1st-No one Maul: 1st-No one Citadel: 1st-No one Chrome: 1st-No one Geothermal: 1st-No one Lost-Faith: 1st-No one Facing Worlds 3: 1st-No one Tournament Final: 1st-No one
The list will update as people post their runs. If this is requested to be deleted from a moderator, I will.
OK, The rules say: "All runs require video proof". But https://www.speedrun.com/smomemes/run/zxv36kky was accepted and DOESN'T have any video! How is this possible?!
Hey guys, we need you all to do this form right here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1k7uTmxE9JCWcSaI5dtqxFz1e7w2CHx3houCCMqX2elQ This will help us discover new combinations of strats, and even save time!
So, as you may know, Hypixel made it so that if you skip a checkpoint, the run is invalid. This means that many Any% categories that usually had checkpoint skips can't be done, and this means it is now obsolete. Everyone will have to now do the All Checkpoints category if they want to speedrun this.
So yesterday, I found out that if you do Web Save, then wait for the webs to be active, then look at some webs, then finally press the "Play" button, more webs will spawn, but the webs you looked at will still be active. This means you can collect these webs, while you wait for the other webs to activate. This can save a bit of time, but you would have to have 4+ webs to actually get benefit.
And also yesterday, I found that if you collect the penultimate web and then immediately after that the last web, Gengar will skip his delayed animation. While this is considered a glitch, I think this shouldn't be banned from Glitchless, since many would have to restart their run if they did it accidentally.
I am making a sum of my best, which has my best round playings from my runs. It should be done tomorrow!
We started speedrunning this game. First, a 2:21. Then, a 2:02. Then, a 2:00. Then, I made a 1:52. I noticed a sub 1:50 could be possible, but that would require perfect movement and RNG. After 3-2 days of losing and getting again the WR, I finally got a 1:28.1. Now, 1:27 is theoretically possible, but it would require amazing mouse movement and RNG, so now you can post 'strats' that will help us, and who knows, even you! My strat is: When the round starts, I see some webs, then I move around to see if some of the webs are windowed. What is your strat? Post it here!
I made a 50 star run, but I didn't record, but this category seems like it could be useful for starters, so it would be awesome to add it.
