I’ll have to see. Just if that’s the case, it was used for the normal run, but not expert run.
Why not use for both then. I’ll have to see if I can find one, would be easier for sure.
Mostly I just want to be sure it’s actually original hardware and not an emulator run. So the perfect start when the magnifier moves and the same thing doesn’t happen on the expert run of the same game. Has me questioning if that was an emulator run.
@2003041 The game has no resources in that section. I checked the splits from .io and they are from livesplit. Not sure livesplit can auto start based on movement in the game, unless it's emulated. I just find it weird that the person had a perfect split start at the magnifying glass movement in Normal, but did it differently in the expert run.
Just want to make sure if it isn't on OG Hardware, that the category should be changed to Emulator.
I saw the same thing happen with emulator runs on the board. The same user on the expert level run used the normal manual start. I don’t recall livesplit having an auto start or splits. Just want to be sure the record is in the right spot, so if it’s emulator, it should be under that and not Original Hardware.
Hi All, I was looking at a speedrun that's listed as Original hardware on Super Nintendo.
When the person is playing, the timer starts when the item, the magnifying glass starts to move. I guess when player has control.
Is there software or something that can detect and do this when using original hardware?
Or is this most likely a run on emulation?
How is the speedrun timer starting when the magnifying glass moves on screen? I would love to figure out how to do this on my Original hardware also. Would save me so much button mashing.
I know it's been a long time, i had some hard times mentally over the years. So i left suddenly and without notice, i'm sorry @Peanutfan22 if i put you in a hard spot because of it.
So much changed and has happened, thankfully i'm in a good way now and working on speedrunning again.
Trying to reclaim my WR crown, well at least for 4 areas, with original hardware.
It's nice to be back and hope to put more runs up with better times and maybe other games.
I used to go by Comfortwolf, Wolfensane and not sure what else i might have changed to.
You should probably check the minecraft official forums for troubleshooting your game instead of the speedrun forum.
