After discussing on steam with Samichpower upon completing our initial playthrough's, the following conclusion is what we came to in addition to looking at sources such as http://www.ign.com/wikis/far-cry-primal/Campaign_Missions.
Aim/Melee assist: runners choice, not really significant enough to hinder or break the game.
Difficulty Easy: I would /wrist trying to kill anything on a difficulty any higher let alone take more ridiculous damage haha.
Start Timer: On gaining control of Takkar.
End Time: As soon as the cutscene pulls up for killing Batari/on credits trigger for credits%.
Categories are as follows -------
Any%: This is from the start of the game to progressing the main campaign by any means until killing Ull and then the end of the run for killing Batari as this would essentially be the end of the story by traditional lore standards.
Credits%: This means starting the game and completing all campaign missions and specialist missions to unlock the credits as this category can easily add a few more hours to the run which is why it is a separate category.
100%: No one is going to do 100% because it would easily take a day or longer than a person would be able to sit down for in one sitting.
Difficulty should not be the runner's choice because there is significant difference between the time and strategies that would be implemented, for run and gun tactics versus taking it slow and steady, therefore easy is what I suggested.
Aim Assist I could understand as long as it is not broken. Start time I usually like starting on gaining control of the character, have to decide soon before submitting runs, end time I definitely agree on.
The happy medium would be to separate difficulty categories as far as that goes but since no one else has responded yet we might just have like maybe 2-5 runners for this game so far which means we have to decide haha.
add BnH247 on steam if anyone wants to discuss these details further so we can come to an agreement.
I'm going to be working on a route for this game after I finish my casual play-through but I wanted to make sure I either get mod or someone puts the rules in place that runs, to save the most time from what I've seen so far should be done on Easy difficulty but no with no aim or melee assist.
In addition, I would suggest separating PC/Console as I'm sure there are many differences like with other games (ROTTR). Same goes for Any% Glitched/Glitchless if major glitches are found for this game.
Wanted to throw this out early since no one has submitted a run yet so that confusion is prevented.
I will make another post for the start and end times later on but if someone has finished the game already feel free to pitch a suggestion.
I originally did but no one seemed interested, if you know anyone who is interested including yourself tell them to post here what they want on the leaderboard and I will promptly add them :).
I asked for mod on day 1 lol, I usually have no problem obtaining it as I check speedrun frequently for all the other games I oversee and now that I know this very well that's all the more reason, share the love Doppie you can't hoard it lol
Like I said before, all on the same difficulty which in this case would be Tomb Raider

This is the route I have always taken and by the time you reach the next passageway the guard is just coming out and you have to wait for him or kill him.
My run in general minus some sloppy play has implemented a lot of good strats for Glitchless (PC) and I say PC because I noticed there are pretty significant differences in each console and then PC with AI movement, spawns, etc. I do notice quite a bit of weird RNG that happens in this game and I'm still working through how to manipulate some things.
Just submitted a run on Tomb Raider difficulty this time and pretty much the adjustments just ended up hoarding explosive and poison arrow materials and utilizing appropriately in some fight scenes.
As for the deathless areas it's kind of the same thing but luring them toward good fire sources to 1-2 shot them.
Can't run and gun on this difficulty so the time was definitely much higher than on adventurer and it loses the speedrun feel to it, but uh, the run is there, crazy how many differences there is between each console and PC though. I'm still mixed on which one to choose though cause faster is adventurer but higher skill cap is Tomb Raider obviously, I personally feel like if its on speedrun.com the standard should always be whats fastest and then separate categories can come into play for higher difficulties, that would make the most sense to me.
You can't just let people post runs on one difficulty for console and then another for PC that makes no sense, the difficulty rule should have been set to the same from the start and yes a glitchless run regardless of what console sucks to run on Tomb Raider because most level strategies change to compensate for lack of ammo and lose A LOT of time, the nature of a speedrun is more on adventurer because you still have some difficulty but can run the game the fastest. That being said there will definitely be much less competition (which is what a community wants) as I estimate the difficulty adding a good 10-20 minutes (optimized) depending on if someone makes mistakes or not ya know?
You can always change this back if you disagree but I kind of only want to see Easy Any% runs now that I think about it just to see more maximized full game runs and not fumbling around for objects trying to kill guards and what not.
I decided to only have normal as a category just to reduce the amount of empty spaces and gain more potential run submissions, normal is a good balance anyways as the only noticeable difference I see is the amount of AI spawning and the health (1-3 hits) that it takes for them to die.
Honestly, the game is is a bit wonky which is why I suggested upon gaining control of the character for the start timer and end timer being when you see the next level loading screen aka "The End". I have yet to submit some of my runs of to a full Any% but I was considering subtracting load times between levels since there is only 15.
Add BnH247 on steam with the fire/ice yin-yang as my profile picture.
I have a discord server as well and it would be nice to get people together to have fun, organize races and anything else we can think of.
Already made a game request, still waiting on approval for that but I have speedruns for the game Devilian and the starter zones therefore I would like to request admin/mod/supermod for the game, I have knowledge of the game and have runs for each class.
Just need a reply from someone, I can setup the page just need the page and mod access :p, thank you for your time.
Hello, I really enjoy gaming and have enjoyed speedrunning games for awhile but am now starting to formally get game times recorded but I am noticing that many people's runs are going unnoticed or unapproved so I would like to request access for a Mod status for all of the above so I can assist the community for existing games, new game requests, etc. Please let me know if there is someone I can contact to obtain access to this or what I would have to do to obtain this access.
I am requesting Moderator access as this is a game that I have already been speed running with friends and have interest in for the overall game, would also like to inspire a competitive community and make the game more popular which is why I would like to add the rest of the levels and have access to making changes to the rules/guidelines and if this also means accepting or rejecting speed runs that would be a nice bonus. As of right now I submitted a test run a few days ago to see the response time and have not received a response yet therefore I would also be more prompt with looking at speedruns for this game.
We may have to redo some of these levels to comply with stricter start/stop guidelines but my team already has base times for nightmare any %

But again, 12 of these levels are currently not available which is why I would like access to moderator.
Edit: I just submitted 2 clean nightmare difficulty any % runs, so if someone could add the rest of the levels or contact me at http://www.twitch.tv/benevolentlife/profile or BnH247 on steam, it would be much appreciated because I want to get this started :D
Kind Regards,
BenevolentLife
