hey! I'm a beginner TASer, and I am having problems with the FPG. I've already done a couple of TASes without it, and wanted to learn how to, so I tried with the sockfolder setup. my issue is, I get to the stairs, and I do the walk for 2 frames there, but I can't seem to figure out the end inputs. I'm clipping into the block, but I do the 3 left frames and one jump frame, and right as mario touches the ground, mario clips out of the block. how would I fix that? here is a video of it.

I am a TASer and speedrunner of other games, and I was wondering if we know the lowest possible time without fpg or bbg, or basically, only beginner tricks? cause I want to try to make a TAS that only does beginner tricks, but I want to know the fasted time possible before I do. anyone here know?

what the title says. I don't have an official nes, nor a computer that supports fceux, so I was wondering if fceugx on a modded wii is allowed? if so, what platform would it be under?

hey! new runner here, just got 13th in the good egg galaxy dino piranha level, and I looked at the world record for both the any% and the dino piranha level, and I couldn't help but notice that they were using 2 player mode. how would I go about doing the same thing? do they hold 2 controllers? do they use a homebrew program?

this only started happening, but pj64 is not working properly. the audio is playing, but no video. whenever I open it up in a window capture on OBS though, it shows a white screen with nothing on it. I tried deleting all of the files and re downloading them from the resources page, but unfortunately no dice. I tried changing the video plugin, nothing. can someone tell me how to fix it? I've tried everything I know. I may just get a cheap capture card and run on Linux if I have more problems. I'm tired of trying to get this thing to work.

I am having endless issues with project 64, and I want to switch to mupen64 plus. is it allowed? I saw on the leaderboards that it's allowed, but I think only on linux.

also, I have a modded wii with mupen64 plus on it. will I be able to use it? the video signal is composite so it will look like it's on console, and atm, this runs the best for me. it's very accurate emulation, kinda accurate lag, and whatnot.

hi! I come from sm64 speedruns. there are no n64 clones out there yet, so this is kinda unknown to me. if I got a Hyperkin retron1 AV, would I be able to use it in runs, or do I have to get an actual unit?

hi, I recently(as of today) switched over from pj64 1.6 to mupen64plus cause I was having input lag issues on pj64. but I used the project64 spy to show input on stream. is there anything like it? I tried nintendospy, but the n64 controller skins don't work. only the generic pc gamepad skins, and I use the neon n64 skin. I tried gamepadviewer.com as well, and it worked, however, it didn't have any n64 controller skins.

first off, I am getting a console setup soon yay!, second, I would like to know if there is a way to intentionally make the input lag/video lag closer to the console runs on p64 v1.6 so I can start practicing on this?

question. I have sm64 PC in full screen. every time I want to use my splits, I have to click off of sm64PC.

do I just use it in windowed mode? what do I do?

what the title says. basically, I have a hyperkin captain, with a hyperkin n64 pc adapter, and I was wondering if it's allowed? if so, how do I connect it? im having trouble lol.

is widescreen allowed? it's just stretching out the image. also is the 3 point n64 style filtering alright to use? it helps that the textures aren't blurry,
