Could there be a full game category to run all 366 levels? It’s seems like quite a counter intuitive concept for a game like this but with efficient date manipulation tactics I could see a marathon category with a pretty high difficulty, a kind of category Dadish speedruning doesn’t exactly have yet
I was considering doing a marathon run of this game and wasn’t entirely sure what would be defined as the end of the career. Would it be once you reach level 50, complete the final race (Sebring endurance), complete every race, win every race, or a kind of 100% where you win everything and unlock all the dealer bonuses?
I have been looking at some of Witherouts runs and noticed that on every non ghost run they have performed the nun doesn’t chase them, I can understand using mods to get infinite money or to get upgrades/mask pieces instantly, but changing the rules of the game to go faster then normal should be banned in all forms of competition. I’ve watched many other runs of this game and haven’t found a single other person using this mod, I don’t understand how Witherout thought they could use it. Below are some examples of runs performed by Witherout that use this mod:
Any% Glitchless - Easy, Door Ending in 0m 56s 612ms https://www.speedrun.com/evil_nun_the_horrors_creed/run/m339p1wm
Any% Glitchless - Normal, Door Ending in 1m 04s 600ms https://www.speedrun.com/evil_nun_the_horrors_creed/run/y8j4j6nz
Any% Glitchless - Extreme, Door Ending in 1m 00s 693ms https://www.speedrun.com/evil_nun_the_horrors_creed/run/z5v91qjm
If the nun won’t kill you in extreme mode, are you really playing in extreme mode?
I always knew I would break this game, and I finally did. I found that on the mobile version of the game, if you hold down the pause button it will pause the game on the first frame then unpause on the next, if you keep holding the button down you can repeat this process over and over. Because the timer doesn’t run on the first unpaused frame, you can drive around the track while using this trick to finish a three lap race in under a second.
Here is an example [Photosensitivity Warning]: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6kJJZNZA1S8 This trick works with every car on every track. I won’t submit this run because I believe this trick should be banned from all forms of competition in this game.
There are other strange uses for the glitch, one interesting thing you can now do is drive through walls while pausing very quickly, unfortunately you can’t finish a race faster because the game tracks how far you’ve gone and ends the race once you get to the required distance, it is interesting to drive in places that you’re not supposed to be in though.
If a Security Measures run was completed, would the run use the in game time to calculate the final result or real time like on any other run? An example of IGT used would be a run done on the first floor. You have 3 minutes to complete the level, if one minute and ten seconds is shown on the timer at the end of the run, then the final time would be one minute and fifty seconds. Because of the detailed map, the requirement to kill every enemy on the floor, and the feature of the timer pausing whenever the menu comes up, pause buffering would likely be over used during the run. Whichever timing method is decided, real time would be most sensible for runs of the whole category and entire game runs.
Assoluto is a very large game, with 28 total tracks to race on, including the 21km long Nordshleife. Unfortunately our small speed running community is only using tight weaving Touge track. The course isn't bad in any way, the consistent and changing turns make it tricky to master, allowing for strategies to come and go, though we need to add more tracks that can give a different experience when pushed to the limit. I suggest that the leaderboards be split up as a grid to ensure that each track can be run be each class of car Here is an example of what the average run would look like, this run is a D class car on the Tokyo Expressway track at the end of the run the final time is shown and I return to the menu, i enter the customization area and show the weight and horsepower (HP) of the car (this is to show the upgrades that i was using), after, I enter the garage and show that my car is in D class and meets the requirements of the run. If I am given the role as moderator i will be able to adjust the leaderboards and enforce the laws i have listed above.
