Just wondering what the rules say for using speed boost before the start of a lap?

I'm currently chasing a single lap record for "shipwreck shore" and just wanted to know if the rules allow speed boosts before starting a lap?

If its allowed, this will definitely help out my time!

No restrictions about that, you can use the speed boost whenever you want before the start of the lap.
