Hello, i've been a fan of SMO speedrunning for a while, and while I'm not the best I feel like any% 1P or 2P is becoming somewhat repetitive on 1.3, if people would be interested I really wanna find new time saves whether that be by glitch hunting or just re-routing moons, if anyone else would like to help just reply with your thoughts, if we get enough people I could make a discord server maybe. It's ok if this fails just wanna try.
Go for it. I feel that the route is pretty optimized so are-routing would be tough. Glitch hunting may be the only way to make big time saves.
There's actually a dedicated group of routers in the btt (best theoretical time) server, and they are usually working on some route or another. Currently there seems to be a sand reroute and a metro reroute. Here is a link to the btt server: http://bit.ly/OdysseyBTT
No not necessarily, it may just be slightly changing the order in which the moon are collected so it's a little faster (like the sand reroute)
yeah, but that doesnt have much room for improvement as its something people have already been investigating for very long
well thats the thing, if it doesnt involve some sort of glitch or new discovery it's hard to save more than a second with it, but that's still crucial for BTT

Honestly that's true, but glitch hunters have been searching for glitches and their applications for just as long, so I think finding timesaves is really hard, whether it's glitches or not. That said, if you really want to investigate and help the community that would be really helpful and appreciated !
