While watching the 2p BTT (absolutely incredible work btw, my deepest thanks to all who contributed), it felt like the amount of time spent waiting and mashing through dialogue was about the same as the time spent Marioing around. Does anyone have any measure (or at least a semi-accurate estimate) of how much time the BTT spends in dialogue and cutscenes?
For clarification, a "cutscene" to me is any time where the player does not get to control Mario, including moon animations, with the exception of voluntary, non-mandatory waiting, such as menuing to buy a moon, bonking, or entering a subarea.
I believe an estimate was made that a run would have a minimum of ~25 minutes of total cutscenes that are required for any%. However, that was a pretty old one so it may be different now
That means 124 moons are collected in only ~27 minutes of gameplay....or 13 seconds per moon...
this game is awesome.
