Speed Jump Trials 1 Guide by Jammerocker

I am by no means an authority on this map, I just enjoy it and figured I could put a basic guide out there to help people get started that want to run it. I’ve never written one of these so if this just ends up being incoherent rambling then just call it out. My current PB is a 145 on 100%. Hope this helps

Section 1: Nothing special here, take the pillar as tight as possible

Connector 1-2: Land and double jump as quickly as possible to maintain speed

Section 2: Take the turn as tight as you can while maintaining speed. Staying supersonic through most if not all of this section is doable

Connector 2-3: WR lands on this connector, I don’t.. Do what works best for you.

Section 3: Honestly this one just sucks. Find a method that gives you the timing you need for consistent runs. You don’t have to be supersonic the whole time to stay somewhat on pace.

Connector 3-4: Just fly on through baby

Section 4: Go over the horizontal pyramids and land on the right wall of the connector into 5. You can fudge the first gap by about the hood of a fennec to keep you more on the line but it takes time to get the spacing.

Connector 4-5: Land on the right side of the connector and keep your momentum to throw yourself off the wall at the right side of the spiral, grabbing a flip here at the same time. You will need this flip in section 6

Section 5: Keep it as tight as possible on the center of the spiral/turbine/whatever as you go around. If you can keep supersonic here you will be on a solid pace.

Connector 5-6: Just fly through, try to find a nice line for circles

Section 6: This one blows but there are immense amounts of time to be saved. Go up and through, when you get to the circle before the apex, start preparing for the drop-off. Ideally, you want to boost straight down, make it through the angle of circles, and then use your flip that you grabbed at the start of the spiral to keep your height for the next transfer.

Connector 6-7: Try to land flat on the connector and make as tight of a turn as possible while keeping your speed. Double jump off the connector and go for the vertical changes.

Section 7: Through the vertical change it's mostly just keeping your race line tight, once you get to columns it seems like the ideal route is to go to the right of the first and far pillar, and then gas it towards the left wall of the 7-8 connector.

Connector 7-8: Grab the wall here, then drive up the wall to the vertical tunnel without using your flip. You will need the flip in the next section.

Section 8: This section is all about keeping tight lines, but remember you have a flip stored that you can use to make one of the turns tighter/keep more momentum. I personally use it coming out of turn 2 normally to set up a more straight shot at the final connector.

Connector 8-9: go fast

Final section: Nothing special about this obstacle really. Take it as tight as possible and try to get supersonic as you are going down. With some practice, you can be going supersonic in the down sections while also controlling your angle.

Finish: Hit that big yellow button
