The main problem with gym ILs is the lack of a definitive end point: this makes timing harder (need to pick an arbitrary frame to end at, will involve manually retiming every run and disadvantaging those who can't record in 60 fps) and means no end screen (creating difficulties with verifying everest version, mod version, variants/assist/ext variants, etc). If both of these were fixed (+ interest was shown) they could be added, but right now it's unfortunately a no go :(
one idea could be to end timing at the first frame that the gym lobby loads in after the last section was completed, but i dont think its possible to have a substitute for an end screen either
i dont know exactly where time would end though, i would say the frame the lobby of the gym appears on screen
