I’ve started also running the PS version and im curious what system in the best for running it. I see some ps3s but mostly PS2s any input?

For FF9, The PS2 90k is faster (70k version is also good). Very few people can run on PS3, so I think this console must be banished

Ps1 games are compatible with all playstation 3 consoles

Ps3 only removed compatibility with ps2 games in later editions

Oh sorry, I thought than PS1 and PS2 games cannot be read on the latest version on PS3. So forget what I said about that. So I don't know if PS3is more faster than PS2.

Ps2 with fast disk speed enabled is fastest. PS3 is slow unfortunately. I do have a question regarding the ps1 version and I didn't think it would be wise to make a new thread. Are there any notable differences between the US and JP versions for speedrunning? Thanks.

Yes so JP easy mode is the same as US Normal, so you get less inotium and experience per battle in JP easy than US easy.
