hello moderators, when i play the game and record with OBS and show the splits, the game lags, mostly in the inventory. when i try to use an item or herb, it takes much longer than it should, when i close OBS and play the game, there is no lag. how can i fix.

In OBS click settings, then go to the OUTPUT tab and it should say something like CPU usage with a drop down menu that says faster and very faster
thanks Calliguluke and icKY but i'm still getting bad lag. i've tried putting it to faster and very fast and even ultrafast but it makes no difference. is there a way to fix?
Are you running everything as administrator? In particular livesplit? If you are still having the issue I would use the Bio2 SRT timer from the RE2 resource section. That isn't as recourse heavy and still provides your time for runs.
Try the Bio2 SRT time from the resource section. I had to use it on my last laptop because it could barely handle having livesplit open along with the game and OBS.
still have lag in the game. this is getting very annoying now. i just can't get rid of the lag at all. it's funny the livesplit is fine and so is the game, it's just when obs is open the lag comes. without obs it's perfect.
Try to decrease the quality of the video. Mainly resolution and bitrate. Look for 480p with 500~1000 of bitrate. Are you just recording or make livestreams?

i have managed to fix the issue and the lag is completely gone! it feels very good! thanks for the help friends, and good luck on your speedruns! sorry if i missed out anybody, i sure hope i didn't
@LoanSharkJoe What was it that fixed it? Was it just lowering the res and bitrate in OBS?
I'm asking because this is a common problem for alot of people.
Darazanjoll, what was fixed was just the resolution. i didn't touch the bitrate. it is still 16:9 but i just changed the resolution a bit and it works now! goodbye lag!
