I have a question about speedrun New Super Mario Bros 2 ANY % !
Why can't we speedrun this game with Citra Emulator ? Emulator and real 3DS for speedrun it's the same thing and if someone cheat the speedrun it's easy to see !
I would like so much to speedrun this game with Citra Emulator :)

Allowing any 3DS emulator for speedruns was always questionable since the performance has not been accurate to real 3DS hardware. For Citra specifically, the developers have officially ended support for it after settling with Nintendo. If there is another, more accurate emulator out there (or to be released in the future), we will always consider the option but currently I don't think that is the case.
Citra emulator from PabloMK7 and Lime3DS admittedly are accurate with the console and have the same speed but the problem is the loading times, during my tests on the Lime3DS 2116 in 3 levels, the emulator has further faster loading times but not as much as a few years ago loading times by a few frames, I know that Super Mario 3D Land allowed them as subcategories but I do not think they are now allowed on these leaderboards even though the 3DS and emulator already have the same speed but faster loading times by a few frames on the emulator.
