This is a massive 37 second improvement over my PB of 18:59 from 2 years ago and a 10 second improvement from Ed's 18:32 run.
The new 3-2 strat was discovered by RetroBrando which skips nearly the entirety of the 2nd phase of the boss fight, saving at least 7 seconds. Other fights were improved using the spin glitch, and the 2-3 boss fight is my own refinement.
This is perhaps the cleanest run I've ever had, with only minor flubs to complain about. However there is still a lot of optimization to discover and this time is definitely beatable.
