Hello, My name is Hisui and I usually play Arcade Any. I started this thread to ask for your opinion about the V-SYNC bug. Here is a video of the V-SYNC bug. (I am using a 144hz monitor)
The simple explanation is that the bug is that the Hz of the monitor you are using is synchronized with the speed in the game. I thought this would give an advantage to those with better monitors and would not keep the game fair.
Of course I understand that it is "ANY Run", but with a 360hz monitor, it is possible to set a world record even for someone new to this game.
I thought it would be better to add rules or separate categories for fairness. Any other opinions would be appreciated.
I agree, and I think a rule prohibiting it would be best. Even if a separate category were added, the leaderboard would just be a reflection of the newest hardware at the time.
you'd think they would have set this as a rule already since the framerate meme is common with povery fg's lol
Yeah, the game speed being limited to your monitor speed pretty much just makes this category pay to win, shame to see it happen
Thank you all. I think the easiest and clearest way is to change it to "No V-SYNC" and it will be added to the category rules from now on. The current world record of 1:48 seconds held by TATARI will probably be invalidated. My guess is that the best record a human can set in this game is 1:57 seconds. Moderators should also suspect this bug once they receive an obviously fast time submission.
