I submitted my first Speedrun (SGG 1.9-1.15; Real Time:2.27.01) 9 days ago and have not received a response/ notification yet. This is my first run, so I don't have a comparison to other submissions. It's true that the run still needs to be retimed, but is it normal for it to take this long? Should I just wait or do something?

yes, it is very normal as the queue is very long. It also says on SRC that runs may take 2-3 weeks for it to be finished verifying.

the limit in src for verifications is of 3 weeks, after that you can complain to a mod directly (probably is just a fast thing that is better in private than in a general forum for the rest of the players lol) anyways i realiced later about my mine a chunk RS getting verificated with a waiting time of a bit more than 1 month smh, and it was a WR being the only run done when i submited it lol

Keep in mind you are submitting a run of one of the main categories of arguably the most popular game in the world right now when it comes to speedrunning, and this is your first submitted run landing you top 50 in a leaderboard with over 600 competitors

well top 50 in 600 is 1/12 of the people, is cool but yeah normaly the top shouldnt have a priority on the chat unless WR cases or things like that

@KilleDragon I was more saying that since it was a relatively high placing record as a first time run it may be due for a bit more scrutiny than a typical run, which would factor in to it taking a long time to get verified

I submitted run month ago and it hasnt been accepted or rejected. Im not sure has anyone even seen it.

it can take 1-3 weeks for the application response :) Just wait for 5-6 weeks to pass if u still haven't gotten a response make a ticket on the speedrun discord server

It is normal, the queue is 1000+ It will take a month to verify. Chill

So I think I got lucky with the queue because the first run I submitted there's a few days (even if it has been rejected) has been verified in like 24 hours!
