Here is a preliminary draft of a new global leaderboard rule:
Every submitted run has to be tied to a Jstris account. This account either has to be named similarly to the one on speedrun.com or have the speedrun.com name be permanently displayed in the "About player" section of the Jstris account. In the case of top runs, the latter may sometimes be requested in spite of the former condition being satisfied.
Considering these conditions are very easy to meet and are very valuable for legitimazing run submissions, I hope many of you will agree that this is a valuable addition to the leaderboard. Especially as the latter method of verification allows for runs to be later successfully resubmitted if someone forgets to meet the criteria.
!!!IMPORTANT!!! It is not yet set in stone if this ruling in any form will be added to the leaderboard PLEASE leave any feedback you have towards it in the comments of this post. It will be considered. Especially, in the case that it does get implemented, let me know if it should be applied retroactively. Doing so might seem quite harsh, however remember that all such runs could be successfully resubmitted by the runner once they edit their "About player" section.
