Maybe its time to do something about it, how can anyone compete with the old patches when the changes are so crucial, you cant even perform some skips anymore. Also there are runs on the board done with very old versions of the game where they couldnt perform some skips as well, yet still everything's in one category
route has changed and you cannot perform exact same actions, you lacking either time or resources now at the start of the game, it was easier on earlier patches
You're going to have to be a little more specific to convince me because I can still do the same level times on current patch as any other patch so I really don't see a reason for patch categories. Especially given the game is still in Early Access.
HROT 1.0 has been released and with that, the Worker's Speedrun Committee has, in accordance with standard policy, executed a leaderboard clean slate. Categories now include runs of E1+E2+E3 or single episodes, as well as all 26 levels available as ILs. Good luck with your runs, comrades!
