There's way too many categories displayed at once right now.

What I suggest is: Combine All Heists + Criminal Mastermind under one category, then split them by subcategories. This applies to Main and Doomsday heists. Hide all IL heists under Miscellaneous, as they were earlier.

So the format would look something like Main Categories:

1. Main Heists -> Splits into Criminal Mastermind and Any difficulty
2. Doomsday Heists - same as above, and call it Doomsday Heists, not Doomsday Heist All Act's (which afaik isn't even grammatically correct). 3.-5. All Survivals, Lowrider Missions and Casino Missions

Miscellaneous Categories: Fleeca, Prison Break, Humane, Series A, Pac Std., Doomsday Act I, Doomsday Act II, Doomsday Act III

I personally don't like calling it "Any difficulty" in terms of Heists, maybe someone has a better term for runs that are not Mastermind compatible.

Leave any further suggestions you have in this thread.

Maybe instead of Heists being split by subcategories instead we have a Yes/No variable for Mastermind runs. The runs are pretty much identical and posting the same run in two leaderboards is counterproductive.

Personally i dislike putting the heists in the 'misc' category. Specifically because people run the heists more than they run 'All Heists' or 'All CM Heists'. In fact the IL heists are pretty much the highlight of GTA:Online.

As for merging CM and CM:DA into the main 'Heist' categories that could work. But honestly it would probably add more confusion when people are searching for runs. The official name for it is the Doomsday Heist as its all one heist made up of multiple acts. Hence the All Acts part. The 's was my fault for being bad at English

Removing all the categories that don't have runs is something i will do. The only reason why lower riders was added was because someone requested it and as for doomsday criminal mastermind. i added it when it was released to stay consistent with the format

For the 'Any difficulty' part, we don't need to append a title to specify you can play on any difficulty. Should be in the rules. If not I'll add it

I wish speedrun.com had a way of being able to manipulate where the tabs go at the top. Wanted all the main heists in one row, doomsday in another and all of x heist in one row

Well i managed to get a doomsday cmm run so i can submit it once it uploads.

I hoped some things could've been trimmed off or hidden, at the moment it's still very cluttered, having 13 categories all on display at once is an eyesore. Now with Casino Heist and Doomsday Heist CMM's it's only gonna get worse.

Just make main categories for Original Heists, Doomsday Heist, Casino Heist and make the individual heists subcategories under their respective main categories along with one subcategory called “All Doomsday Heist Acts” etc. Criminal Mastermind should be a variable instead.

I might be alone in this opinion but hiding "All [Heist]" categories under Misc is my least favorite outcome of this, IMO they should be the ones in main category slots and single heists should be as miscellaneous.

I like Derpeth's idea, but this introduces some difficulty when using the LiveSplit because AFAIK when selecting a category there it won't see categories in that case (like the case is for gtamemes board, if you try to select a game you'll get a game name list instead).

The highlight for me is the Heist ILs themselves. which is why i moved the all X catagories under misc. I dunno, either we have 4 catagories. All X, and move all the IL heists under misc. Or we present them front and center. Or we put all the catagories up at once. Derpeth idea sounds good but Speedrun.com doesnt support sub catagories.

If you are talking about the 'beat mission solo/coop' catagories under the ILs. They are global for ILs and not specific.

In order of preference for visual solutions, mine would be

'Heist' ILs front and center with All under misc 'Heist' ILs in misc but All made front and center All catagories front and center.

Are you sure about SRC not supporting subcategories? That's how https://www.speedrun.com/gtamemes is built, I'm not sure how but that's how it is.

Thats interesting, i was not aware of that. I looked everwhere in the game settings tab and couldnt find anything related to subcatagories and assumed they where unsupported. I'm not aware of how to get subcatagories and i've messaged the mods of gta memes to fiqure out how to do it. Once i fiqure it out i guess we can take on board Derpeth suggestion of putting each of the ILs of the heist under their respective catagories.

I am still against making CM a varible as that means it will be compeating with the other all heists catagory which because of the rules in CM being a fair bit different would put it on unequal grounds.

Just as i make that last post, the sub catagories are located under making a varible. In addition with catagory specific varibles. I appolgise for not knowing that in advance. I'll begin with taking on board the suggestions here regarding how the leaderboard will look.

So from what i can gather, people seem to like the idea of having the catagories be as followed

Main Heists, Doomsday Hesit, The Diamond Casino Heist

Under their respective catagories, their ILs

I.E

Main Heist -> Fleeca, Prison, Humain, All Heists, CM Doomsday -> Act 1, Act 2, Act 3, All Acts, CM The Diamond Casino -> Loud, Silent, Con, CM Misc -> All Other catagories

If people are ok with my suggestion above, it would mean i would have to go through each submitted run and change their respective category varible
