to all the moderators whats it like being one and what games do you moderate?
Not quite good sometimes, especially when people who don't run a game you moderate want to impose how the leaderboard should be moderated.
it's terrible i get so many dms asking the worst questions and it's super stressful as well
It's mostly been a lot of setting up a leaderboard and working on creating a nifty theme, a process that has taken most of my day. And it's not entirely done yet.
But I only just got this role today, so my experience may be ever so slightly, just possibly, in a strange sort of way, skewed from the other responses in this thread.
I'll let you know in a year, I guess.
the first time I was a moderator I was like "yay cool I'm a mod now I can verify runs wow", but then it just gets boring.
got couple runs waiting in a game but none of us mods had time for them and eventually we had 30+ runs waiting and the oldest of them were at least 3 months old and then it became overwhelming
Is it normal to be a little stressed out when moderating & verifying runs?
I moderate a few busy games, but schoolwork makes me push back all the work, and by the time I'm finished, I'm either too burnt out or too anxious to verify runs.
Does anyone else have any similar experiences? Any advice on what I should do?
i feel bad because i'm "head mod" of a super huge game but i hardly verify anymore, no bit of motivation for anything since the big bad started last year, been thinking about stepping down a LOT lately because there's just one guy who verifies all of the runs and that's certainly not healthy for him
