Im new and i have no idea what splits.Io is, someone explain it to me

It's used to upload splits to, which are timed segments of gameplay. For example, runners can see how much time they've lost or gained on a certain level.

And when submitting a run on SRC, you could enter the splits' link to display them on the site.

Do i NEED livesplit? Or can i just put an empty link, im on mobile and there are no tutorials to help me.

If you're on mobile, then you can't even download LiveSplit.

Also, the Splits.io URL is optional. And there are tutorials online about it.

And as to if LiveSplit's required, every game is different and has its own rules. But since you're on mobile, then you won't need it.
