Tried joining told me its expired or invalid

Never mind I could be banned from the server which is confusing considering I've never been in there. I tried to post the link and it says 'Invalid Invite: The user is banned from this guild' I don't know if that means I'm banned or the person who created the invite originally is banned. Either way O.O any answers?
