How does the community feel about doing a glitch before the runs starts? cause i found a 10-15s time save but it requires you to do some setup before the run starts. heres the video of it. the glitch can be preformed on any unlocked door before you talk to the old guy at the top
I'm not a fan of the idea, considering that it's technically something that happens "outside" of the actual run. We're doing the exact same thing in the 0% misc category, except that we do this trick at the portal that leads to the final area. This is why 0% runs are 3 minutes long.
I just started learning to run this game yesterday and I ran across this and thought it could be useful if it were allowed
Well, maybe other people's opinion will differ, but my opinion is the following : it just feels like you're starting the game from an already existing file, even though you actually press "New game". To an extent, and to refer to my previous post, you could just "setup" your save to start from the final area and boom, easy WR. So if you consider that you can't do that with the final area portal, the same applies for the first door of the game.
that's fair enough but i just wanted to check with the community to see if it would be allowed
