With the Upcoming 1.4 Release of BallisticNG, a revamped 2280 Physics Mode will be added to the game.
Along with it, some important changes will be implemented:
- Individual Leaderboards for 2280 Physics Mode.
- Time Trial/Speed Lap Barracuda category will be renamed to Highend.
- NX2000 times will be moved to the Time Trial/Speed Lap Highend category.
- In-game Global Leaderboard Reset with 1.4 Release.
Accordingly to these changes, all Individual Level leaderboards will be reset, while Full Game Leaderboards will stay as is, while only NX2000 will be moved to the Highend category.
2159 and 2280 Physics Modes will also be split into two different categories.
If any of the currently available ships in the roster is actually rebalanced with 1.4 Release, a Full Leaderboards Reset will take place to allow fair competition.
Free Tracks - Leaderboards Update
With BallisticNG new Patch 1.3.3, a new track has been added to the Extras track section, Basis Divide. Rules for the Free Tracks category will be updated accordingly to fit this new track to the category.
Furthermore, all changes that came with Patch 1.3.3b have been implemented in the stable patch, so the Caliburn rebalance is now fully implemented in the game.
Patch 1.3.3.1 - Changelog
A new Patch 1.3.3.1 has been released that addresses some issues with GOG Galaxy Leaderboards, you can find the changelog here. The Patch version has been added as a variable to the BallisticNG speedrun.com page.
Caliburn Rebalance - Leaderboards Update
With BallisticNG new Patch 1.3.3b, the Caliburn ship has been rebalanced in order to make it join the Base Ship roster and make it fit with the rest of the ships.
Due to this big change, and since the Caliburn was one of the strongest ships in the Prototype Category, all times set with Caliburn will be archived from the leaderboards, since those times might become virtually unbeatable, and the ship will be moved to the Standard Ships Category.
This change also makes it redundant to have a Prototype Category available, since the only ship to be used in that category would eventually become the NX2000. Thus, the Prototype Category, with all the ships being part of it, will be definitely merged into the Standard Category to better match the ship categorization already available in the game.

Aciknovae - Layout Update
the upcoming 1.3.3 Stable Patch, Aciknovae track Layout will be updated as shown in this video. The layout update seems to make the track slightly slower than it was before, thus further investigation on how the track changed will be necessary in order to eventually apply the correct changes to the leaderboard. This news post will be updated with news regarding this change.
Free Tracks - Leaderboard Updates
With BallisticNG new Patch 1.3.2, three new tracks has been added to the Free Tracks expansion, being Pines Complex Course 1, Pines Complex Course 2 and Pines Complex Course 3. In the Steam News post (https://steamcommunity.com/games/473770/announcements/detail/3664289584760818700) it has been specified that the new tracks added to the Free Tracks Expansion (Including Vespera Heights for the previous update) will be later moved to a different expansion. It's still unclear if more tracks from the Free Tracks expansion will be moved elsewhere, so no changes will be applied to the category for the time being.
UPDATE: After contacting the main dev, it has been confirmed the tracks will stay in the Free Tracks Expansion, so they will be officially added to the category. The category will also be expanded with future updates if new tracks will be added as well.
Nova Split - Layout Update
In addition to the new track, Nova Split has got a layout update with this patch as well. By doing some tests, it doesn't seem the track is either slower or faster compared to the previous layout, so no changes will be applied to the affected categories for the time being.

Free Tracks - Leaderboard Reset
With BallisticNG new Patch 1.3.1, a new track has been added to the Free Tracks expansion, Vespera Heights. Since this is a major change in the Free Tracks Expansion, which will make the category necessarily longer, the leaderboard for that category will be reset to prevent unbeatable times for the leaderboards.
A "Current Patch/Any Patch" category division for older patches that have less tracks than the current patch has been evaluated but not considered in the end, since the update only affected a single category.
Harpstone Layout Update
In addition to the new track, Harpstone has got a layout update with this patch as well. After some testing, it turns out the track is slightly slower than its older patch counterpart, but the time loss is negligible enough to not deem a leaderboard reset on the categories affected by it.
