This may seem ridiculous, but what is the logic of having NG and NG+ at individual levels? The only thing I know is that on some levels you start without the cutscene at the beginning and you already have a medical kit and power crystals. Such a small difference it doesn't even save that much time, most of the time we don't even use these items and we had to press the d-pad 2/3 times to access a key.
"Any% Glitchless" is there any glitch on all levels that save time?
I have 3 questions:
Question 1: The Secret Swim, Treachery, Aktirak Flight and Save Kida levels, can I start with the game already finished?
Question 2: Shouldn't time run out when we lose control of the character/vehicle? (because in the "ice trial" level and I don't know exactly when the screen goes black, it only gives an approximate on the way)
Question 3: Do I have to analyze the time when the screen goes COMPLETELY black or in the first frame that it starts to turn black?
I am a complete noob and don't know the reasoning behind stopping the timer when the screen turns black, but I really think that it is much more natural to stop the timer when you loose control/screen becomes letterboxed. Also judging from the videos, this is how people split in in full-game runs.
I've also rewatched the IL run videos, do people start the timers when they press New Game or select the level in the level load menu? This is different from what is written in the rules...
I want to do the IL runs but I'm also confused.
I was reading this topic about NG+, I noticed a change only in the first level.
a NG+ full run run is possible, would it be interesting?
I wanted to suggest ideas for improving the performance of the leaderboard and also if possible WagnerBrasil as game moderator.
What would "NG+ full run" consist of?
Some questions just out of my head... In Whitmore you will leave the elevator and go back? In Cove the Truck Escape exit will be already open, so will you skip Fire and Ice? In Outer Atlantis where do you go? Secret Swim will be already open, so will you skip Inner Atlantis?
I don't think there is a need for a full run of NG+.
Returning back to the original questions by @WagnerBrasil, maybe we can discuss it in https://www.speedrun.com/atle/thread/derei ? I have provided some ideas of how the rules can be updated to solve questions 2 and 3.
And the question 1. What changes when you start those levels after you have already completed them? I don't remember :)
