Not sure if this was already known to some, but I noticed that moving around and or shooting after defeating the boss at the end of 3-4 actually makes his death animation longer. Just thought I'd share so people don't end up losing time over it.
That was one of the infinite point tricks in the original, which are not included in the HD version because of leaderboards. You can also shoot the Matryoshka bears in the area before the trash compactor boss, and up at the metal detector-looking machine near the beginning of 3-3 I believe. Basically if you shoot the eye as he's falling he'll stay in place so you can get all the points you want.
I don't remember if this is the case in Standard, but the cutscene after the battle has the alien walk towards the Install Ball after the fight, so to save for time you want to be standing right next to it so he doesn't move.
Yeah, optimally, you want to be the closest possible to the middle so the alien doesn't walk. But I didn't know the death animation was longer if you moved.
Maybe it's because i was shooting in the air, but it prolonged the animation after the robot had already hit the ground but there was like an animation with the monster moving back and forth.
After playing it again I'm not exactly sure what caused the prolonged death animation, kinda wish I was recording so I could guess, maybe I ended up hitting the eye extra times or something on it's way down.
With the upcoming release of Alien Hominid HD (and Alien Hominid Invasion but that's not important here) on Xbox Series X, Switch and PC, the board will be separated further into different pages. The runs will be transfered over, so if you have some notifications about your run being accepted, that'
